Parks and Recreation

Richfield takes pride in keeping its natural habitat and land a part of every day life and having activities for eveyone to enjoy. Richfield has  over 440 acres of park and recreation land available for daily use that have several amenities available at each.  There are also over 11 miles of walking and jogging trails with some allowing bike access.  Richfield also has a large pool with water slides for everyone to enjoy.. Veterans Memorial Park

Veterans memorial park is 108 acres in size and is located on the northeast corner of the city.  The park has legion lake within its boundaries and several amenities for all.  There is a large play ground, shelter, alot of open spaces and 2 miles of walking/roller blading trails.  There is also handicap accessible play features.  In addition, the park is home to the farmers market, cities water park, mini golf and hockey arena.  Learn more about them below.

Richfield Arena has two regulation sheets of ice and is open year round and includes a full scale hockey retail store "Hat Trick Hockey".   The park also includes an outdoor pool with waterslides and a zero entry wading pool with a water play feature, and an outdoor miniature golf course.

The arena is the home rink for Richfield and Holy Angels High School hockey teams. The Richfield Hockey Association coordinates the youth hockey program.

The arena offers open skating and skate rentals, adult open hockey, womens open hockey and youth skating lessons. Adult Hockey Leagues are offered in the fall & winter on Sunday mornings, in the spring on Monday evenings and during the summer on Monday & Thursday evenings.

 

 

 


Fairwood Park and Monroe Field

Fairwood Park and Monroe Field Richfield MNFariwood Park and Monroe Field are located in the west side of 35W.  The two parks are located within a few blocks of each other and have the following amenities:

Madison Park

 

Madison Park is located in the north central part of the city just to the east of 35W.  The park has many amenities to keep everyone busy and they include:

Nicollet Park

Nicollet Park is a 6.5 acre park located on the north eastern part of Richfield right off 62.  It is has several amenities for everyone to enjoy including a walking path, open spaces, play equipment and more.  Here is a list for everything that is available at this beautiful park.

Richfield Lake Park

Richfield Lake Park is 24  acre park located on the north central part of Richfield right to the east of 35W.  The park sits around a Richfield Lake.  The walking path goes around the entire lake for some breathtaking views and fantastic scenery.  There is also a playground and basketball court for some outstide activities.
