While living in the small town atmosphere of Richfield you have access to big city activities for everyone to enjoy.  Being only  minutes from Downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul there are always things going on but that is just where it starts. GOLF

If you are an avid golfer then Richfield, MN is a great place to live. There are two courses located in Richfield, but a short drive gets you some of the nices courses in the midwest.  You can drive any direction and end up at a championship style golf course.

 

 


MALL OF AMERICA

The mall of America is an all day adventure. If shopping is your passion then the 520 retail stores at the Mall of America is your perfect get away. It doesn't stop with the shopping. Inside the Mall of America is also the Nickelodeon Universe theme park. The theme park, which is the largest indoor park in the US, consists of many rides for kids and adults to enjoy from roller coasters, to kiddie rides, to miniature golf course. You can also also enjoy life in ocean at the Underwater Adventure Aquarium. This aquarium consists of a 300 foot long tunnel where you can view over 4,500 sear creatures according to their website. These include sharks, turtles, and stingrays to name a few. There is also a lego land, 14 screen movie theater and restaurants for almost every appetite.


DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS AND ST. PAUL

The possibilities are endless in these two beautiful downtowns. There is everything from shopping, to eating, to dancing, to just enjoying the scenery. While you are here you can catch one of four professional sports teams including the Twins, Wild, Timberwolves, and Vikings. If you are more into the theater scene these two cities have everything you could ask for with The Guthrie and The Ordway to name only a couple spectacular live theaters. The Nicollet Mall area has all the shops from books to cloths to keep you busy all day long. Having this much entertainment this close and still keeping the small town appeal is truly a remarkable opportunity.


MINNESTOTA STATE FAIR

The Minnesota State Fair is one of the largest based on daily attendance in the United States.  It features several live music acts and an enormous Midway full or rides for the whol family.  There is also live stock departments, food, food, and more food, machinery hill, several show, an art fair, 4-H booths, science exhibits.  The fair runs for 12 days of excitement. The fair usually runs late August to early September.


RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL

The Renaissance Festival is a time to have fun and look back at how life was during the medieval times. It features an interactive outdoor event which focuses on recreating the look and feel of a fictional 16th Century "England-like" fantasy kingdom. It operates during weekends from mid-August until the final week in September. Each weekend is themed different, so you can go several times and get a different feel every time. According to their website the festival features over 700 entertainers, 275 crafters and 120 food booths.


VALLEYFAIR

This massive amusement park is the largest in the upper Midwest. It has over 75 rides and 8 roller coasters. Valley Fair also has a water park, which includes several slides and a wave pool. If you need a break from the rides there are several restaurants, an amphitheater, The Galaxy Theater and several stages along with the Imax theater.

 

 


MYSTIC LAKE CASINO

Mystic Lake Casino is a short drive away, but can bring a huge amount of enjoyment. If playing the games is what you like than this is the place for you. There are over 4,000 slot machines, 100 blackjack tables, bingo, and pull tabs. Mystic Lake Casino is also home the most pennie slots in Minnesota, but if are a high roller, they also have high limit slots and blackjack rooms.
